Urban Padres is a social service organization in Quebec that assists individuals in the cityscape, who due to their mental illness, are having difficulty moving forward and recapturing their lives.
Philip Silverberg, the president of the board, says they choose Sumac for their organization’s data needs because it was simple, modular, and the staff listen. “Sumac is always adding updates and features that reflect customer needs” says Silverberg.
In addition to funding the operation of UP House, Urban Pardes annually produces the Au Contraire Film Festival.
Ticketing for the film festival used to be done by a stand alone system says Silverberg. Now they use Sumac’s online ticketing and donation pages which integrate directly with their database. Now when information is entered on their website, all the data is automatically captured in their database without them doing a thing. Having a donor or ticket-buyer’s contact information automatically populate in the database helps save time and streamlines operations, says Silverberg.
